Marlborough is a thriving market town and there is much to do and see. Marlborough College has a well attended summer school with a whole variety of interesting subjects on offer. Information from either www.marlboroughcollege.org or www.mcsummerschool.org.uk
Many successful art courses are run locally and you can access information for these at www.rableydrawingcentre.com where Meryl Ainslie will be pleased to help you. Her new farmhouse has just been featured on Grand Designs C4.
Poulton Grange is situated about 4 miles from Barbury Castle where many horse trials and Point to point meetings take place www.barburyhorsetrials.co.uk
On the farm we are usually busy calving in January, Fenruary and March which leads onto lambing in April....so if you are interested in livestock then please ask duriing your stay if you would like to see around the farm.
NB: Sheep can carry toxoplasmosis so pregnant ladies should steer clear of the farming side during lambing.....although studies in New Zealand showed that if ladies stayed on a farm during pregnancy then their offspring had less chance of ever having asthma.
